Ready to Reign

About Project

Initially intended to be released in the months and weeks before the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Ready to Reign is a campaign dedicated to expressing the dedication that STX field hockey athletes have to their craft. The goal of the campaign is to have the viewer understand the subtle visual references that indicate the Tokyo Olympics without violating Rule 40, which prevents any athletes from engaging in marketing campaigns during the games that include direct Olympic references. While working with the boundaries predetermined by Rule 40, the client desired a campaign that inspired intense competitiveness while highlighting the elite mentality of their sponsored athletes. With videos being the centerpiece of the campaign, the client’s requests were met by using athlete training footage paired with cinematic music that was recut to pair perfectly with the athlete footage. The assets designed for the campaign already include several posters, 20 athlete videos to be used on STX’s social channels, google display ads, and promotional emails. I was responsible for the concept, production and delivery of all assets including the creation of all videos and the editing to the music for each associated video.
